Run
Toward The Goal
I have not yet reached my goal, and
I am not perfect.
But Christ has taken hold of me.
So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the
prize.
My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived.
But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is
ahead.
I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of
being called to heaven.
This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ
Jesus has done.
Philippians 3.12-14
I
Love You Just The Way You Are
The mirror of the flesh can
sometimes be very cruel
the enemy uses this
so many he can fool.
Look at yourself in the
reflection of the living water
see yourself through the
eyes of our loving Father.
Man puts worth in how
we look
God tells us our real
worth through His book.
He plants us by the living waters
as trees of wisdom
with healing words from
our Father.
Words from man can leave our
hearts with a deep scar.
The enemy would like you
to think God is very far.
He's right there with arms
ready to hold.
Waiting for you to surrender
and give him your life to mold.
With every burden you allow
to enter your heart
you have given the enemy grounds for
destruction to start.
As we carry these problems
and try to find ways to fix them or use,
our precious Holy Father
we have, by lack of faith, abused.
Beneath each load of sorrow,
sad face, worry or pounds of weight,
we have not put our trust
in Jesus to determine our fate.
Our Holy Father stands
with outstretched arms that say 'come'
this battle for you
I have already won.

COME TO ME EARLY
Our Days on this earth
are only a few.
Like a drop in the ocean
so bright and so blue.
In our youth we look to the future
with dreams that's so bright.
Not really realizing
God keeps us always in sight.
He guides our path
with such a gentle hand.
Gives us the courage we need
to take our stand.
We shove that little voice aside
and say - "I have plenty of time."
God with His gentle patience says
"I'll wait - I don't mind."
As time slides on
and we daily stray,
God's gentle voice says
That's O.K. - I'll have my day."
When His hand
constantly brings us in line,
We look back and say
"I've wasted so much time."
When a young man can lie on
His death bed and say,
"Tell them to seek Jesus early
This I pray."
The last words of a dying young man
Reflecting... "my life has been such a waste."
Begging you young people, from the River of Life
please take a taste.
Come to Me early
Our God pleads.
I have for you to plant
Many, Many seeds.

The last reflections of a 34 year
old young man dying of aids.
Am I
Responsible?
Am I responsible for
those around
when there's no joy or laughter or happy sounds?
Can I make the people
closest to me,
see themselves as God sees them
and learn to be all they can be?
Can I stir up and make
happiness in the heart?
Can I take the burden from this person
around me and show them how to get a new start?
Can I take the negative
thoughts from their mind?
Can I replace them with the positive and show a new path
to find?
You say 'no' I can't do
any of these.
Then why take the blame when you are told 'you just can't
please.'
You're not responsible
for another persons happiness you see.
They will find happiness when they can look inside
and say 'it's just between God and me.'
When the little cocoon
draws away into its little shell,
even in the darkness and he is completely changed;
no one can do it for him and he will stay there until
God says 'all is well.'
He comes out entirely
different than when he went in.
Only God can change you within and wipe away every sin.
When all around you looks
gloom and doom,
don't look at others to find where your problems loom.
Stand up and face them like a man,
Don't blame others, look within and take your stand.
When everyone around you
does not join in your 'pity party,'
look within them to see what makes them so hardy.
You'll find them walking
close to our Father above,
who can wrap all those cares in a cocoon and
between you and God, when the cocoon has changed,
you'll find peace like a dove
