The Lord has been working on me for a couple of years now on healing some inner thoughts and bad habits In the mist of one of my really bad confortations the Lord put this poem on my heart and I could not rest until I sat down at the computer and with tears of self-pity still flowing freely, the Lord ministered to me with this poem. Most of my poems are for other hurting people, but the Lord has clearly given me three for my healing. This is one of them. WHERE IS YOUR HIDING PLACE? Does the face looking back from the
looking glass Does that image say to you 'this is the
picture of defeat?' Peel off those layers of self hate, That's your first step to healing. The enemy, with his lies of disguise, Sometimes the enemy comes from within
and not without. Do you hide your feelings behind,
drugs, drink or weight? Jesus tells us he hides us in the cliff
of the rock Why are we so eager to believe we are
no good? When oppression comes upon us and tries
to steal our mind, We watch as people stare at us with
disgust. Another day goes by and we add another
layer The number of pills increase, the
amount of alcohol increases Look in the mirror and really look
inside! Admit the truth to yourself and face
the state you are in. As your loved ones try to counsel you Sometimes God's words come out of the
mouth of a family or friend. Have respect for that person trying to
counsel you. Our Heavenly Father will hold you in
His hand Thank God each day you record a win ~~Sharon Lambkin~~
