A TESTIMONY OF FORGIVENESS

My precious daughter who has a heart to hurt
no-one, has been a true witness of the work of the
Holy Spirit in her life.

After the enemy succeeded in breaking her marriage
of 11 years apart she was devastated. She had remained faithful to her husband and not knowing of all the affairs he brought into their marriage was really a blow to her inner being.

The days following the divorce were a blurr to her. His mental abuse had taken its toll and had her where he wanted her - defeated. A mental abuser is very cunning and manipulative and succeeds in destroying ones self-esteem.

She saw herself with nothing, a person no one would want and a broken life. She watched as the person responsible for all this pain prospered, had a live in girl friend, lots of money, redecorated the house and was gloating over the victory of bringing her to complete devasation. At the same time, she was very lonely, struggling and life seemed very empty.

All the while she clung to God while the devil tried to paint this beautiful life style of partying, bars and running around as she saw her other friends doing.

While she was in church on Sunday, an overwhelming feeling came over her and she was sobbing uncontrollably. She prayed silently, God you have to help me, I cannot do this alone. I cannot forgive and forget all the hurt and the past.

To her amazement the pastor stopped in the middle of the sermon and said that God told him there was someone there suffering from divorce and was at their wits-in and could not handle it any more. He said get out of your seat and come forward for prayer to have this yoke broken.

My daughter looked around the church to see who would come forward, not knowing he was speaking to her (she is very shy and for her to even walk down the isle is a hugh step within itself). The pastor spoke again, come forth for prayer - God would not let him continue the sermon until she came forth.

She got out of her seat and went down for prayer - the pastor called all his prayer warriors around her and the presence of the Lord was so very strong.

The Lord healed her on the spot. Allowed her to forgive and although she has not forgotten the past, healing has come a long way.

She does not understand why she remains alone and so lonely but she finally understands that healing has to be in God's time and if she will just wait upon the Lord, He will bring her a Christian mate and one that will be the Spiritual Head of her home.

The Lord laid this poem upon my heart for her.

I WILL FILL THE VOID
